OUR EYE EXAMINATIONS
Our extensive eye examinations are as individual as your eyes.
Eye examinations are a vital part of any health care programme and at Eyecare Optometrists we believe that everyone deserves the best possible eye care.
At your first appointment we aim to get a clear understanding of your ocular and general health history, lifestyle and occupational needs. This information will be used, in combination with a detailed ocular examination to determine the best possible outcome for your future ocular health and vision correction needs. Your family history, medications as well as details of your previous prescriptions will be considered.
When certain disease entities are suspected or complicated refractive challenges encountered, further appointments may be scheduled for specialised testing.
What do we test for?
Your comprehensive eye examination of at least 40 minutes duration will include the combination of the latest, state of the art technology in equipment and our expertise.
As standard part of our routine evaluation you will be screened for diseases like macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye disease syndrome and diabetic retinopathy, mentioning only a few.
Our comprehensive refraction results will be complimented by customised solutions in lens technologies and eyewear.
We have a keen interest in diagnosis and management of ocular disease, contact lenses and children’s vision.
SERVICE & AFTERCARE
Looking after your vision for years to come.
We recommend an annual ocular review for patients over the age of 65 years and bi-annually for those younger than 65 years of age. Our team of optical dispensers will happily adjust and help maintain the integrity of your eyewear without prior appointments as a free service. We pride ourselves in outing our patients’ needs first.
We have an extensive range of supplementary products to help sustain optimum visual health.
We stock bespoke eyewear to suit everyone’s fashion and budget needs.
All accredited Health Funds are welcome. Claims are directly processed via Hicaps.
